A mix design is carried out in Firstmix by entering the items of the required concrete mix specification on a mix design form.
The mix design is performed according to the DOE Method in five stages. All calculations are made in double precision.
If you have detailed measurements for the aggregate, you can use them in the mix design by means of the Measurements Dialog.
If you have precise information about the cement properties , you can include it in the mix design by means of the Cement Properties Dialog.
If you have trial mix results, you can make use of the Trial Mix Dialog.
At any time during the design, the effects of changing a data item can be studied by inspecting the mix quantities , which are displayed at the bottom of the mix design form.
