Measured Aggregate Density

The measured density should be entered on the Laboratory Measurements Dialog for each sieve size of the fine and coarse aggregate.

The user can select whether the density should be for the dry or the saturated, surface-dry (SSD). In either case the absolute density is required. The measurements are used by Firstmix to obtain the overall absolute densities of the coarse and fine aggregates, which are needed to calculate the fine and coarse aggregate contents. See Aggregate Density.

The mix quantities on the mix design form assume that the aggregate is in the condition (SSD or dry) for which the coarse aggregate density is set.

When the Laboratory Measurements Dialog is first brought up for a mix, the densities of both the fine and coarse aggregate are set to match the Relative Aggregate Density of the mix.
