A Test Range is the difference of the maximum and minimum values of concrete strength tests performed on specimens from the same Batch, which have been tested at the same Test Age and kept in similar conditions. Generally a Test Range is obtained from two or three specimens. A minimum of two specimens is required in order to obtain a valid Range, and it is uneconomic to perform tests on more than three specimens.
